Still raining. Decided to fire up the tractor and move the tiller closer to the barn so I could work on it......tractor won't start!

What's a good way to clean up the tines - besides running them in the dirt? Mine are sort of rusty/crusty.

TC, what works good to clean tiller tines, plow shares or any other metal----work it in an abandoned RR bed. But you may have a difficult time finding such a thing there. Sand would do the same thing, only slower.

Will give it a try. Worst case scenario is a wire brush and a six pack!

I'm not good with names. Can someone tell me what the pin is called that holds my tiller on the two-point? I'm headed to Kubota tomorrow because I need some parts for my tractor and also a longer pin to attach my tiller.

There is a long pin that holds my hitch onto the blue forks. I need a longer pin to hold the tiller on after the hitch is removed.

My parts manual calls it a "joint pin". Probably have to put a caliper on yours to get an accurate diameter. Then determine how long you want it, and go to town.

In my book the lynch pin is called, "set pin". Just a side note.

I don't have a caliper - yet. I guess I'll take the "short" one with me and tell the parts guy the length I need. Thanks for all the help!

Just removed my trailer hitch and discovered that the long pin would be in the way of the PTO. Doh! Thanks to those that tried to help my befuddled brain. All I need now is a pin to hold the depth wheels in place. Hopefully will have the tiller hooked up tomorrow after draining and replacing the fluids. Again, thanks.

Got the tiller hooked up and now doing some service on it. Will post some pics when the wife returns with the camera. Any suggestions on setting the chain for the top link?
