Hi,

I purchased a 1978 B7100, serial number B7001-44807. In doing some reading after the fact I have realized this is likely a considered a grey market tractor. I'm trying to track down a ROPS and was curious if anyone has any experience in this area. I was given a part number by Kubota for a ROPS for a similar model:

If your tractor is a B7100E/DT:
Order: ROPS SFB-71A

Any idea if it will fit? Anyone have a ROPS on a similar tractor mine?

Thanks,

Jon

I ran your serial #, it is NOT a grey.
All B7100's have serial #'s that started with B7001, it does not mean it's a B7001 or a grey.
You can do a ROPS strait from a Kubota dealer for a Deeply discounted price.
Thanks for the info.

Where were you able to look it up? I had tried to go through a dealer for that program and they didn't seem to really have any interest in helping, wouldn't call back, etc. I figured that was likely because it was a grey. Then I logged a ticket with Kubota corporate and they said they couldn't find the serial number so figured that sealed the deal to it being a grey model.

Where were you able to check my serial number? Kubota corporate indicated they were unable to find it and the dealer had not interest in returning my calls. Figured those were sure signs it was a grey model.

I ran your serial # on their system.
When you give them the serial # it's just the 44807 part of the number
The model is a B7100.
A lot of dealers and even some of the new corporate folks set there own information confused, so if you throw the B7001-XXXXX in the mix they automatically think it's grey, which it is not! ;)
