To leveraddict:

No, I don't thnk turfs are the same as R4's, so far as I know. (I'm no authority)

My stock BX2380 tires are what you'd normally find on pretty much any lawn tractor or very similar (at least visually) to that style. Very little in the way of "lugs" (if that makes sense).

My dealer told me these (turfs) were best for snow....but I did the chains on top anyways as an insurance policy. I've seen the 1965 International tractor next door with "typical" BIG tractor tires get stuck on ice or deep snow and there used to be a guy across the road with almost the identical tractor but with big chains and a little rear weight....he never got stuck. That's all I needed to see !

Yep, I've been putting chains on my BX2360 for years. No spacers with R4 tires.

Simple ladder chains just like ve9aa.

I just keep them tight with tarp straps.
Now thats the info im looking for. Chains on a BX with R4's without problems! THANKS!

Weight also important. Better traction with more weight.

Watch ANY episode of 'Highway thru Hell' and you'll see WHY chains are a good idea on 'big rigs' on snowy highways.....especially when they don't lock the rears....
Those softclaws would be over $100 each, backyard bodger could make them from a scrap tire ....

No sweat. I've posted photos a couple times of the install.

Not much room, but never had an issue. Need to pay attention and keep them taught without any loose ends to catch stuff.

Last few years been jacking rear end up to put them on. Makes it easier to get them on evenly.
