This is the last paragraph of the ad.interesting...ad doesn't say if good for diesel though, not even gas...but does say 'snowmobile',but not 2 stroke of 4 stroke....
I just buy mu diesel in 10L jugs, 3 at time. can't lift/carry 20L ones any more. If I used lots of diesel, I'd just use a 45G barrel. I have a $600 proper 'fuel transfer' unit here...used once, collecting dust.
I found that same one at the local Harbor Freight store (not on the website though) for 9 bucks. I used it for about 3 years and it finally crapped out. Bought another one, still about the same price and I could not get it to work. Once they are used in fuel they can not be returned. However, HF has a toll free number for that eventuality and they refunded my money . I then tried some ancient batteries on it before scrapping it and somehow it started working!I'm cheap too. I bought this pump back in December the fill the hydraulic fluid after having to split the tractor. Worked great for the hydraulic fluid and since then been used for both gas and diesel multiple times. For $16us I wasn't expecting much and was positive I'd be returning it. I've pumped between 80-100 gallons so far.
I will say the hydraulic fluid was slow to pump but it beats standing there with a five gallon bucket trying to carefully pour into a small funnel.

You might want to try a filter funnel like the Mr. Funnel.Has anyone experimented with trying to put some sort of fuel filter in line with that Harbor Freight pump?
Thanks for the link! (which states that it’ll be available online after Feb 25)
I've a fuel filter. Haven't used it in years but thinking about buying another filter for it and using it to filter the 50 hour hydraulic fluid I remove and put back into the tractor. I've a 12v Northern Tool extractor pump to pump through it. Don't think a battery powered pump has enough ooomph to pump through a filter.Has anyone experimented with trying to put some sort of fuel filter in line with that Harbor Freight pump?

I have a bunch of these at work. May have to look into this setupI got tired of the cans and got a 15 gallon plastic barrel form facebook shopping thingie. Got a HF fuel pump had a coupon so that was cheaper. Around a hundred bucks and I have fuel for a couple weeks one the drum is filled,, the HF pump has a filter in the end of the pick up hose. That paper towel is gone I opened the large bung to fit the hose,, It works pretty well, a funnel inthe small bung allows filling it from the 5 gallon gas/fuel cans View attachment 74755 View attachment 74756
