Anyone have any pictures of a L4060 hst/hstc or comparable tractor moving logs or trees around? I've ordered mine and can't wait to put it to work..

Forks to move logs and brush - much more efficient versus loader bucket.

That's what I'm talking about. Forks are probably way cheaper than a grapple. Didn't even think about them. I cut down prob 20 pines today. Need to lift them up and into the woods. All from 4" to 10" pines

While forks are cheaper, they are far less useful and efficient moving logs. ;)

Had about a dozen of these to move when a huge old tulip tree was taken down. Pin on bucket, so no QA forks. Instead we have clamp-on forks that have worked fine with smaller logs, although I think the toothbar has kept the bucket from getting warped.

I agree, grapples are great...until you look at the price. I can't justify a grapple at this point in my life when i can get the same jobs done with a $500 QA set of forks.

However, if someone is looking to give a set of grapples away...;)

I always say you can't take it with you when you die. Get what you want while you can. Ive found I'm more happy in the woods with my dog than out with all these crazy people now days. I'd rather be on my Kubota

I'm tight. But when my L3301 showed up I immediately ordered a EA wicked grapple for it and a diverter valve from KennyD. Yes it was expensive relatively at around 1700 turn key for all with me doing the work.
This has been the best modification I have done. The possibilities of use are endless. Little quick jobs that might get blown off are done easily.
I haven't "drank the Koolaid" but unless you are a farmer dragging rear implements most of the time, the grapple is the most utilized implement after you get it.
As my oldster friend puts it, "That thing is handier than a pocket on a Tshirt!"

I have a smaller tractor, but I use my pallet forks to moved logs around. Kepps from dragging them in the dirt. Can't move as much at one time, but it is pretty tight in the woods.

I cut them to 60" long to move them and then block them to 20" to split.

I have a L3560 HSTC and use the forks for holding the logs off the ground while I cut them to length, but I also have a grapple I got from Quick Attach that I love. I use it for cleaning up the brush, so easy, it can be used like a rake to drag the mess back into a pile then just close the grapple on it and pick it up. I have a picture of it lifting a good size log, but can't find it. I'll keep looking and when I find it, I'll post it. I also just bought a BH92 backhoe, that thing really reaches out and can drag anything from the woods to a handy spot.

It was the 60" Quick Claw. It came with Flat Face Connectors and I also got free shipping as a special offer at the time. It works great, I like it.
