Orange 1, Orange 2 and frame paint...

Guess my first post didn't post this morning...

Was at TSC yesterday and I saw thet they are now carrying 2 brands of Kubota Orange paint.

Their Magic brand and now Rustoleum. Having bought the Magic before, I know the color is off (too dark) so I bought a can of Rustoleum and touched up some scratches on my new Landpride brush hog and it's a perfect match for Orange 2. Even though my tractors are 2001, they are both Orange 2, don't know when Kubota switched, I do know that both fade to Mary Kay pink over time.....

I cannot find the Kubota grey blue frame paint anywhere but the dealer and it'd 12 bucks a spray can.

The Rustoleum Orange comes in spray cans, quarts and gallons if you need that much.

Why would you do that?

Perfectly legit post. Everyone at one time or another will require paint and I'm just passing along my personal experiences with color matching. Too bad no one makes the grey / blue frame paint, except what is available from Kubota. I have no problem buying the purchasing from my dealer, but TSC is a lot closer that he is.

You were right on, on the flow control. The 'U' joints were rusted. Applied some P Blaster ad some oil and all is good. Kind of hard getting the hitch pins off the joint to shaft connection though. Have to check the M as well. I don't use the 3 point very often on it, it mostly just runs hay tools.

On another entirely different issue...

You realize this forum has an SSL certificate issue I presume seeing as you moderate. A corrupt certificate allows hackers in to take personal information.

I did it because you posted it twice...no need for 2 posts saying the same thing at the same time.

It does not have a SSL Certificate issue... it just doesn't have one, most forums do not as of yet.

Moderators have nothing to do with the administrators choice of a server, software choice, and certificate choice.

Main note: You don't have any information on here that anyone wants to steal.

I've used the TSC orange.

It's not an exact match to Kubota's original orange. Thus I suggest to stick with OEM paint. You'll pay more but you'll get a better product in most cases.

The Rustoleum is. I painted some scratches on my new Landpride 7 foot brush hog and checked this AM and there is no difference in shade at all. Of course nothing matches faded orange so nothing will match my faded orange tractors.

My cast weights on the rears of both the M's are looking sad. They get a coat next.

Not sure if Kubota branded paint is a better product because again, Kubota has someone else make up the paint, not them. To me, paint s paint, not a hard item, just an accessory item. Don't like rust though.
