I just bought a new bx 1860 and I have noticed that if I park my tractor with the mowing deck in the up position it leaks down over night. Is this normal?

Welcome to OTT,
I haven't noticed this with my mower so much but my 3 point will settle. This is normal but if you want it to stay up, set your three point lowering speed knob to lock. I have gotten in the habit of setting my implements down when the tractor is parked.

Your MMM is controlled by your 3PH which is quarter inching rather than position control, so it is normal for it to leak down to your preset height. As mentioned, you can "lock" the deck in the TOP position with the deck height control knob. Hope that makes sense.

I always lower everything on all my tractors when I shut them down.

In a perfect world, hydraulics would never leak down; in my world, they all leak down. It may be irritating, but it is reality. I put everything down on the ground when done.

I ALWAYS lower the 3PH and FEL if I get off the tractor. If there is a kid around for 5 miles - including (or especially) my own - I couldn't live with myself if that kid lowered an attachment on himself, or another kid. Naturally he would be unable to start the tractor and pick it back up again.
Another scenario is for a kid to release the brake, and the tractor starts rolling. Not as likely to happen if the implements are lowered.
Once upon a time, a long long time ago, I "parked" my brother's pickup truck in his driveway - just left it in neutral, no brake. Three days later, we were having a BBQ, and just happened to witness the truck start rolling, and take out his pig pen! No real harm done, but GOLLEY, who would have thunk!

exactly 'gpreuss' I always lower the FEL and 3PH all the way down whenever I get off the tractor as well. Kids are always curious and love to climb up on tractors, and whereas my kids are now older it just makes good safety sense.
X2 pretty hard for the tractor to roll away with a scrapper blade and a loader bucket on the ground.

Agreed. I have all of the neighborhood kids watching and are always around when I am out on the Kubota
