Not sure if this is the best place for this but I am Bill, age 61, living in NH. I had a B7500 for many years but sold it to buy a car for my youngest to go to college. She paid everything else so I figured it was the least I could do. I just this week bought a 1985 L245DT with FEL, Bush Hog, rear blade, tire chains and forks. Disabled now so looking forward to the tractor doing the work for me.
Tractor came with no ROPS, so I out my info in the Kubota Safety Rollover program. I have 15 acres that was chipped 20 years ago and has lots of scrub along with some nice young hardwoods. Planning to use the bush hog to clear around these trees and give them room to grow. also plan to cut shooting lanes from my deer shacks the easy way. Glad to be here, looking forward to learning from you folks

Throbbin,

Happy to have ya here - lots of good folks here too. Sounds like you got a good ol machine there, I know it will help you out a lot!

If you have a specific question - do a little search up near the top of the page and see if someone else has asked the same question, sometimes they have, sometimes they have not. Otherwise we are glad to help out!

Thanks guys. I am looking at the implements I have, mentally adding a box scraper and a backhoe and I need some sort of run in type of shed to keep everything, including a stall for the tractor. Right now it is in the garage but I need that space often to fix my old Suburban. Maybe a pole barn...

Yep, another goner! Already planning for a cozy apartment for his tractor, prolly have it heated and cooled, maybe TV... <sigh>

Welcome, Bill. Oh, just a heads-up: there are a lot of folk on OTT who have a secondary addiction... most of us are addicted to getting attachments, or making mods to our machines, but some of us are addicted to what is generally referred to as "tractor porn" and they demand huge doses of pictures. If you keep that in mind and take a camera or smartphone every time you get near your L, hopefully you'll be able to keep them off your back! :D :D :D

Thanks for the welcome! I had the bug when I owned my B7500. The fact that this one came with toys - er - implements is just a bonus. Biggest issue is trying to satisfy my wants with a monthly income from SSDI lol.

Huh, I would never have got that!
I couldn't figure it either - usually it's just "TMI" for Too Much Information.

It doesn't seem like TMI to me, but I guess he would feel the same about my saying that I had the same challenge, having had my "managed" 401k accounts devastated by the market meltdown, and no government bailout for me. :p :D :D :D
