I use a few air operated macnaught guns. I have 3 handheld units and a bulk unit.
The handhold units take grease cartridges and the bulk unit takes 29kg drums
I have speciality grease in the handheld units and the tractor grease in the bulk unit.
It takes about 5 mins to grease the tractor loader and backhoe using the backhoe unit.

Years ago decided on the Milwaukee 18v Fuel set. Bought it from my local welding supplier at a price less than on-line offerings. I have no regrets whatsoever there for the tools I have. Have looked at their grease gun several times.

It really stinks to maintain many different batteries....

I have had the 20V Dewalt grease gun for 3 years and love it. I only picked Dewalt because I had 8 batteries so bought tool only for $120.00 bucks.

I picked battery powered because I can grease my implements that are out behind the barn with no need to pull a air hose out there. I also carry it with me when I am away from home at our lease.

I like not being tied to a compressor or have to hand pump. I don't like greasing so this makes it easier.

Sure any battery operated one is fine but the Dewalt and served me well, it is not pretty after my barn fire, lot of black on it but never has missed a stroke.

Has anybody tried the M12 Milwaukee? I have DeWault 20V batteries and a single Milwaukee M12 tool so would go with the smaller Milwaukee or the larger DeWault. I never even new that there was such a thing as an electric grease gun when I started this thread, but now I absolutely need one!

Received the new LockNLube LNL252 pistol grip grease gun today. A day late, but that is no fault of LNL.
First impression of the unit was they did a nice job packing it and getting it to me. They shipped same day it was ordered.
Opened the box and found different sheets of information in the box with the grease gun, hose with swivel and locking coupler with extra rebuild kit. There is a product catalog, operating instructions and grease gun priming instructions.
One of the first things I noticed was the weight of this grease gun. It has a lot of heft to it telling me this thing is built well. I was worried about the thickness of the tube and the threads on each end before I ordered the gun. One of my older guns had a very thin wall and the threads were very thin and shallow, making it far too easy to cross thread which had happened to me right away. This gun is not like the old one I had. Threads are deep and plenty going into the head as well as the base where plunger is. The spring is heavy duty, and locks well into the little key hole at bottom.
I thought it was really handy that LNL installed a false Zerk into the top of the unit so you can park the locking coupler and not have the hose fly around slinging grease on your clothes when the unit is not in use. Also makes a handy hanging and or carrying point if needed, I hang my guns by the pistol grip rather then on the hose.
Priming was really unnecessary . As the directions state, priming not needed. Put in a tube and pump the handle 5 or ten times and you have grease. I use a 3% Moly/Lithium grease so it was easy.
I can already tell you about the coupler as I use it on my Lincoln 1134 gun already for my mower and other equipment. The locking coupler makes greasing so much easier when you don't have to hold the coupler on the Zerk and try to pump at same time while grease is pushing out all around the fitting.
This gun may seem to be more expensive than the Lincoln 1134, but remember the locking coupler and extra repair kit is included in the price I paid. Deducting the price of the coupler from the total makes the grease gun about same or near price of the 1134 I bought a while ago.
All in all I am very pleased with my purchase, and would buy it again and would recommend this product to anyone needing to grease equipment from a cart to a tractor!

I still do it the old fashioned way.... with a manual lever-gun. I keep 3 of them, each with a purposed-grease (3 Different greases) ... each with it’s own purpose. Each gun has an identifying color-stripe painted on it to identify it’s particualar purpose:
1-Red-Stripe/Band with lettering “Lithium” on it, containing Red Tacky Grease for general purposes.
2-Yellow-Stripe/Band with “Marine” on it, containing water-proof CalciumSulfate grease (Use it on the boat trailer wheel-bearings and outboard-engine grease fittings and also on outdoor devices that get rained on such as my hangar-door mechanisms, etc.)
3-Black Stripe/Band with “Moly” for the molybdenum grease for sliding mechanisms and pins such as the Kubota Front End Loader (because that’s whats specified.)

More grease guns = Toys. (I consider having more tools is really having more toys.). LOL

First post here but I really like the Lube Shuttle stuff. No grease leaking out of the gun, not sure about the battery operated unit but the pistol grip is as good as any I have had. Change out the tips if needed but works on my BX. No mess cartridge is handy.

When I was a kid, we used to refill the grease guns from a pail of grease. Take top off grease gun, insert cylinder an inch or two into grease, pull handle and suck grease into cylinder, clean up mess, put top back on grease gun and you're good to go. I would have loved having a setup like SidecarFlip described; we had an old combine that I swear had more grease nipples than it had bolts.

Question for you guys saying that the LNL fits all the zirks on the loader, PTO shafts, etc.: are you referring to the regular ($30) LNL tip or the "extra long" ($40) tip? I can see where the XL might be too long for some applications, but am not sure that the regular one will get into, for instance, the U-joints on the PTO shafts.

On my L4701 with LA765 and Land Pride rotary cutter the standard length one fits everything.

Have both guns with LNL'S on them. Milwaukee is red like my high temp grease, used for mower deck and pto shafts. Dewalt is heavier, may pump higher psi, has an LED in the head to light up the fittings. Has regular grease for everything else.
