Hi guys. I just bought a b6000e with a woods belly mower a few days ago. Bought it from a guy that seemed honest enough for $1350 in what looked to be pretty cherry shape. It starts well and on the test drive ran great. After getting home and doing a bit more digging, I found out that the said "charging light" was actually the low oil light. I hooked up a gauge and found a decent 55ish pounds of cold oil pressure and ordered a new sender. I then changed the oil to amsoil 15-40 and went to mow. When she got warm mowing, i found I was only at around 12psi.
Also, this is one clackity little machine. I listened to other zl600 powered machines on you tube and was not overly concerned, but when she heats up to temp, it is a bit louder.
I'm now getting a bit concerned. I actually work on vw diesels so I'm not afraid to get into something if need be, but I bought this mower to help with my lack of time to fix mowers..lol.
I've read about the cam plug, but I'm not sure that fits my issue since I have good pressure cold. The tractor does smell of burning oil a little when running at temp, but it doesn't seem to use any. The crankcase oil looks good and the old owner used kubota oil for all changes.
Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks guys. Pics soon.
