I have a B3200 and owners manual. First thing I did when I got it a couple years ago was buy the WSM. The part number on this Workshop Manual is
9Y121-02060
There are several places in the manual that recommends:
"Refer to the Workshop Manual of TRACTOR MECHANISM (9Y021-18201)"
I looked it up on Messick's site and it is listed as are all Kubota parts and it costs about $200 or about three times the cost of the WSM. I called Messicks and their parts guy had never heard of it. He was going to check with his repair guys and ask them about it.
That is expensive but if it means even one less visit to the dealer for repairs it would be worth it to me. There was only one mention of this manual on another tractor forum but no answers. Do any of you have this manual? I would like to get some idea of what it consists of before I order it.

What kind of answers are you looking for, anything specific or just general "Must Know" Info?

Rambling questions like: Does it cover pretty much the same things as the WSM but in more detail. Does it have more diagrams or pictures? Since it apparently is not for a specific model does it speak mostly in generalities?
Would DIY type person get $200 dollars worth from it (I know that is a subjective question).
What is the purpose of the manual? I see no description of it anywhere. Kubota just calls it "WSM-Diesel Tra" Is this a manual that most all dealers have in their service department and find it very useful for their mechanics, especially newly hired ones?
I hope someone who has one will respond with a: Man, I use it all the time before tackling a big repair job. or say: It just explains how tractors work in general, kinda like a Clymers, etc.
I don't know anyone who has ever seen one and when the parts guy at Messicks is one of those who has never seen one it really made me think I better ask questions before I order it. Thanks

If I understand it right it's a general shop manual that covers general specs and engine details.

All the manuals I've seen like that really don't help the DYI guys as they are things like machining specs and extreme tolerances that the WSM manual will give you on a general basis.

I would say unless you going to get into rebuilding the entire drivetrain, hydraulics, and engine, you probably don't need it, but I have not seen that specific manual. ;)

Thanks. I may call and double check return policy and order one just to check it out. If I do I'll post what I find.
Not sure about Messick's, but the rest of new Kubota manuals are not printed until ordered. I got mine from my dealer and the price was a little more than Messick's but I got free shipping because it came with some other parts. However there is no return. They told me that they (the dealer and their techs) were mostly using the online versions that they could access with a pass code. They did have a few old manuals of various sorts around that they let me look at before I ordered the WSM for the 3560. So it might be worth your while calling a couple of dealers to see if they have one you could look at first. I will be curious as to what is in it.
