Mystery Part ID BX2200?

Was blowing the accumulated grass of my belly mower, and found this- just sitting in the clippings. It's metal, a cap of some sort, with a grease fitting. The screw end of the fitting likely is what keeps it on.

Where does this thing go? I've looked things over and don't see anywhere obvious.

Looks like a cap that goes on an axle or the tail wheel of a mower.

It's the dust cover and grease zerk for the tension pulley.

Just curious- what holds that cap down to the spindle?

Probably an interference fit, and too much grease forced it off!

The screw end of the grease fitting threads into the spindle

Need to be aware that if part #150 is lost then grease nipple will most likely not line up away from gearbox & make grease fitting difficult to connect grease gun. Found out the hard way on mine.

Yep they are shims and not normal washers, to set the direction of the zerk.
