I'll take a photo tomorrow morning when the sun comes up. As far as I know the armrests come with the air ride seat and I'd be surprised if they're available as a separate item. The light grey "cylinders" below each armrest rotate and increase or decrease the angle between the armrest and horizontal.

Now I'm wondering if the "head rest" is adjustable for height. I'll check on that tomorrow too.

Thanks. I just about froze my hands, head and face rinsing off the tractor late this afternoon but all of the salt spray is gone.

I'm going to give the new owner of the MX open station the new bucket and bolt on cutting edge shown in the photo below. I have an EA tooth bar on the "old" bucket and don't feel like swapping parts around. It's just a bucket and I'm sure the new owner won't complain.

Do the chain hooks come from Kubota or did the dealer install them? That is one heck of a tractor, and I am certain that you will enjoy it. I know how expensive the glass is in that cab, so I suggest that you look into having the 3 M glass protection added to it. 3M™ Scotchshield™ Automotive Security Window Film It will strengthen the glass against shattering, and if the glass does shatter, it will hold it together. I believe that it is available in a "do it yourself kit".

This is my third tractor from the local dealer, and all three buckets came with welded on hooks. The dealer does this to all buckets and doesn't charge for the upgrade.

The glass is tempered but I'll look into the film you mentioned. I wouldn't mind a tint on the glass for the summer months.

Tempered glass is stronger than laminated glass, however, if it gets hit with a sharp item it will shatter. I am going to look into having the front and back glass in my cab coated with a clear film. I don't care much about tint, but I don't want to be replacing the windshield in my cab. Even though it is a small cab compared to yours, the windshield is about $900 if it breaks. If it were to break, at least I wouldn't have to worry about a glass shard hitting me in the face or eyes.

Yes. The folks at Parsons are a great bunch. If they'd get an espresso machine and some comfy chairs I'd be over there every day with my work laptop.

Here are some more photos of the seat. The headrest is adjustable for height and there's even some kind of lumbar adjustment (grey knob on back of seat).

I got the QH10 moved over to the new tractor this morning and got both the SB1574 snow blower and STB1596 snow bladed hooked up. I even managed to blow and push snow and to say I'm thrilled with this new tractor would be an understatement. I was able to run the snow blower quite effectively by using the outside mirrors although I did wander off a couple of times.

This new tractor is obviously quite a bit heavier with the cab and the wheel weights, and it seems to do a better job of pushing snow and it certainly feels more sure footed. The visibility from within the cab is excellent and the controls seem to be in better positions for me and everything feels very smooth to operate. Here are some photos of the new setup.

Not bad at all. Obviously not as ergonomic as tractors where the controls are higher up and laid out to the right of the operator e.g. L6060, but certainly not a problem or difficult to access and manipulate.

mcmxi Looks like you have a nice {warm} setup now to remove snow. You can keep the snow up your way we have been lucky and only had about a inch so far and it was gone right away. I feel my MX-6000 is a little light in the rear even with three weights on each side. Don't want to add more weights and have them our past the tires. Probably will load the tires this spring. Don't want to mess with a weight box when I don't have the sprayer or mower on either.

Thanks ... and I like moving snow. The local dealer adds beet juice to all rear tires unless requested not to by the customer. With the beet juice, 660lb of wheel weights and the cab this tractor feels incredibly well planted.
