I just bought a new MX5100 from the local Kubota dealer in Texarkana about 2 months ago. I'm seeking assistance here because if I take it in for service, it may take a month to get it back and I need it working now. Here's what happened. I was at the pond using the box blade to do some work. All of a sudden, the hydraulic lift handle quit working. It wouldn't raise or lower the blade. Thank goodness it quit working in the up position. My first action was to add fluid. I put about a half gallon in and let it warm up, nothing. Then I noticed on the lower portion of the arm where it goes into the transmission, there appeared to be a pin missing, so even though I was raising and lowering with the handle, it wasn't engaging because the pin fell out. I put a new pin in, now it raises and lowers just fine. BUT, now when I raise the box blade, it only clears the ground by a few inches. Is there a manual adjustment where I can raise the blade higher off the ground? I know it went much higher before the pin fell out. I've made all the adjustments possible on the 3 point hitch. Or, is this something the dealer should handle? Thanks for any advice.

How about the top link? Has it vibrated to the point that it had got a bit too long? Take the box blade off, see if the arms raise like they should, then load them and see what difference if any.....report back

I took the box blade off and raised and lowered the arms a few times. Then, with the arms in the up position, I was able to manually raise the arms another foot or so by hand. It seems like if I can lift them by hand with the handle in the up position, there should be some adjustment that would let the handle raise them that high too.

If it was the feed back linkage that came off, it sounds like it's out of adjustment. ;)

I know the feeling about taking it back. But you bought a new machine and they should come out to your place and fix it. I would call and rase a little **ll and I would bet they come or tell you what to do.
