2007 m9540, steering problem. It will turn left , but you can continue to turn steering wheel and then you can turn back to straight. It will not turn right. There are no obvious crimps in the hoses to the steering cylinder and it does not leak. Are there any screens/filters in the hoses or connections to the steering cylinder? Fluid level is fine and other hydraulics (loader, shredder etc. ) work fine as well. What in the steering valve could cause no ability to turn right, but you can turn left? Any suggestions?

Two things:
Most likely cause is that it has a blown internal seal, it won't leak on the ground, just get recirculated back to the sump.

Or very much less likely a bad steering controller, I've never seen a controller go 1/2 out.

Cylinder leaking internally. They are rebuildable as long as the bore and piston aren't worn out. The BX's have the same setup, but a little smaller-same issues and complaints too.
