Came in to possession of a 2013 M135X that had been sitting awhile. It only has 109 hours on it. The tractor would turn over, but would not fire. By hot wiring the lift pump, bypassing the ECU/computer, it would start and idle. It would not throttle-up or engage the transmission. We towed it off the property.

The display gave an "E-NET" code. Our local dealer was kind enough to lookup the code which signified "a CAN bus short". Our thought was mice or chipmunks were wintering over some where behind the cab's trim panels or possibly water. But I haven't been able to find any obvious gnawing, nests or shorted wiring. I did find cracked repairs on the trim panel and a few missing fasteners that told me the previous owner had some issues before it came into my possession. One other suggestion from a dealer was the throttle position sensor.

I'd appreciate the community's input on further trouble shooting. Being a tier 4 engine its way beyond my limited knowledge of Diesel engines. Thanks in advance.

My best suggestion would be to get the WSM for the tractor.
It will give you a ton of information. ;)

I know this is an old thread but did you ever determine the issue? I am having the same now.

The OP was last on here on 8/24/17 so I doubt you are going to get the answer you are looking for.
