Loader pins not fully engaging?

New L3902. I noticed with both my pallet forks and bucket, neither of the “square things” bottom out on the nuts when I lock in the SSQA arms. On my grapple one of the two does bottom out, and that pin protrudes through the bottom of the attachments a bit further.

Are the “square things” supposed to bottom out on those nuts?

When in the locked position the spring should be compressed like it is in the image.

There should be a gap between the nut and the block. If they were to contact, you would have less spring pressure on the attachment pins.
