On my L1501 the headlights are the plastic push and turn sockets that have the little legs snap off them and your bulb dangles inside the grill like a Halloween pumpkin light.

I decided not to do the definition of insanity and keep replacing them hoping for a better result. And I wanted to try LEDs.
So I notice I had a couple of 4" trailer backup LED lights in the resource pile, brand new and with the rubber mounts.
I found that with a little circumcision of the outer rubber, I could set the rubber in backwards and mount the lights into the rubber ring as they were intended, just facing the opposite way.
In the first and second picture you can see the trimming of the rubber ring, and then looking into the chrome ring from the backside with the rubber installed.
Third picture shows taking a zip disk and cutting away the offending reflector to clear the power plug.
Last one it is ready to mount on the tractor.

These lights are designed to be used on the back end of trailers so you can see where you are backing up in the dark. More floodlight than spot.
I am doing the wiring this afternoon and I can get a picture after dark. I'll post one later.

Personally I think you would be nuts to be tilling or mowing in the dark, but sometimes you just need to find the cowshed if you are late getting done. That's all I plan to use them for, but it irritates me when something is not working as it should.
