Any reason why I should not put LED bulbs in the headlight for a B6200? Really basic electrical system.
More a question of being seen than seeing.

Some of them can get pretty hot, but it's not usually a problem. LEDs draw less current than incandescent or halogen bulbs, so there's only upside there.

Go for it!

I painted the back of my pallet-fork rack Flat Black to get rid of the glare. Helps a lot.

But the Best Fix is a LED LightBar mounted on top of the brush guard.

I imagine they would. I have a plow blade on the front. Too keep up with a heavy snow I often plow in the dark. I was thinking of more light to let the speeding clowns on this blind corner that there is something near the shoulder.

Got the bulbs. Who knew that old style 1157 bulbs can be replaced with LED !
Thanks.

The pop in may be pretty good for a tractor. They put out a lot of light but don't put it much of anywhere in particular.

Well , I plow at 3 mph and rarely have to look into a corner and drag a knee.
I want the state plow boys around the corner to know I am in the area BEFORE they drop the wing plow in my driveway.

I was actually referring to my truck. None of my bikes have lights except a small red one on the rear for rain racing. 😁
The "good" ones I put in the truck didn't do so well. There was no real distance to them. They were bright but not made for the optics of the reflectors that were intended for incandescent.

I swapped also with some decent LED ones. Still messed with the radio unfortunately.

I put LED's in my 2601 headlights (as well as added light bar/cubes). Someone on another thread mentioned that LED's may not produce enough heat to melt snow off of the lens, making your lights ineffective in a snowstorm. I don't have enough snow experience with mine to definitively say one way or the other. Something to think about though.

On the subject of LED lights, does anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced flood units in the approx 3"x5" - 4"x6" range? I have a few machines I would like to add / upgrade lighting on and don't want to spend a fortune as it seems a lot of the LED bars are overpriced and targeted at the kiddos adding junk to their vehicles.
