I owned a Kubota L3130 for about 11 years and loved it. I just purchased a new l4060 and had it outfitted with a third function remote. I received the tractor a couple days ago but just noticed the placement of the 3rd func. hoses. They are attached under the tractor perpendicular to the tractor. Everything you drive over, tall grass or brush, is going to hit these lines. Has anyone else ran into this problem? And does anyone agree with me that this a serious issue?

Just put a 90 on the line on the Quick Connect to get it to go strait out the back. ;)

If the dealer did the install and you aren't happy with it I would either make the dealer redo it to your satisfaction or have them put it in writing that they will replace, repair or reimburse you for any damage or out of pocket cost. The dealer should be showing you the correct way to do the job, not the other way around.

One of the perks of a new machine is not having down time due to break downs.

That's a bunch of crap. About the first time you run over some brush there goes the lines and your high dollar SUDT fluid. And if your luck if like mine you'll be by yourself, in the middle of a saw briar patch, no cell service and it's up hill all the way home.

Bulldog, I thought I was the only one who got into those situations!

"And if your luck is like mine you'll be by yourself, in the middle of a saw briar patch, no cell service and it's up hill all the way home."

Recently cutting 50-60-- 12" dia trees to get to a water gap. Pinched saw in tree. couldn't get wrench to release bar because of low cut. So couldn't use backup bar and chain. Backup saw hadn't been use for a while. Went to fill with gas. Cap tight ("O" swelled from ethanol) pried cap with screwdriver and it shattered. Had to go up "that" hill to get the tractor to release pressure on saw. Tractor had a low tire. Old compressor takes a while to pump up.... It just goes on and on.....

Get your hoses located to prevent future frustration!!!!

D2Cat, that sounds about like a normal day around here. Some better, some worse but there always seem to be a hill to climb.

When the L60 Series first came out, there was a thread on TBN about the exposed lines and the dealer fabricated a guard for it. The exposed hoses on the L60 is one of the reasons I bought an L5740, the third function n it is bad enough, but so far no problems.
