Have a L3600 with few hours but approx. 7 years old. Up and down adjustment is very jumpy and have to use much care when wanting to lower a full bucket or it dumps the whole load quickly. Any helpful suggestions?

Check your Hydro pump intake line for cracks. The only thing I could thing of is air in the system. I've heard of various issues on the hydraulics attributed to sucking air. Have you checked your fluid level as well?

I think you just need more familiarity with the control valve. The farther you move the joystick away from center, the faster the loder operates. You could install an adjustable needle valve on the controlled side of the valve (where the cylinders are connected) to control your maximum flow inline, but I suspect that it will caused the pump to work harder and make the excess oil from the pump be returned via the hi pressure relief valve. I can't see that it would cause any damage though. Any other thoughts on this?

That old, have you changed the fluid and or filter? I would try that, a clogged filter and or water in the fluid......crazy things happen when something sits a long time. I would drain all the hydro fluids, replace filter and run it! See what happens. I thought that your control valve could be worn, but something with that few hours should not be a problem.

I agree with 85Hokie, do a full fluid and filter change first then if it's still doing odd things you might need to have the valve worked on.

I have to agree with Wolfman & 85Hokie on this issue. 7 years with very few hours. In a cold climate you may have got a lot of condensation in your system just from sitting around with very little use.

Do filter & fluid change of the system and see how it reacts. Please keep us posted on the results.

Have the same problem with my new small b2620. But mine is usually while going uphill. The loader and steering is jumpy. Almost not even working.
On flat ground or pointing down hill everything is fine. Any ideas?

Well if it's going up hill, it causes you hydro fluid to shift away from the pickup. You sir need to add hydro fluid to your machine! You do not want to be running air through your pumps like that. Pickup some UDT2 from kubota and add it to your trans!!! I'd buy 2 quarts, add one to the machine and see how it goes, and keep the other one in case you need to add more. You will appreciate having some on hand if you bust a line!
