Anyone had any experience with changing out the front axle seals on a kubota l3600? I got mine apart and the new seals put in the hub but can't get them to to go back on the axle shaft that 90's down off the axle. It acts like the seal is too small or something. Ive tried 2 different seals from 2 different places and neither one fits. I gave kubota dealer my serial # to double check and they said that they were the right ones. Has anyone had this issue and what did you do to fix it? THanks in advance

Start with what exact model do you have... and serial #.

What part #'s are the seals that your using?

l3600 front axle seal issues

Im having issues finding the right seal for my front axle on a 1994 l3600 kubota. The one that kubota says is a replacement is a smaller inside diameter than the old one that i removed. The new seal(tc230-13040) won't slide on to the axle. Its almost 5mm smaller the the original seal was. Anybody else ever had this issue? Thanks in advance

Re: l3600 front axle seal issues

Are you sure that both halves of the old seal have been removed? It usually splits and the top part stays on the upper mount. It stumped me for a while until I figured that out. The new seal won’t fit until the old part is removed.

The part Number you list does not look like it should fit your tractor.

Give me the the serial # of the tractor.
and a better description or picture of what seal you are trying to replace.

Combined your two threads to one.

I'm swapping the seals on a L3600.....well.....I want to, but the pivot point separation (for the vertical drive shaft) has me stumped so far.

Looking at the parts diagram, I don't see how the two vertical half's are held together....

Found this video....think I can pop the bottom cap and get to the c_clip!
