I made a set of stabilizers yesterday for an L3200, and wanted to double check them before painting. So, I ran over to my local Kubota dealership- I want to put a shameless plug in for Beverage Tractor in Stuarts Draft, Va. They let me, any time of the day or night, open or closed, try out stabilizers on tractors. I can just take measurements, compare, or remove factory parts and put my stabilizers on. They are fantastic.
They have an M8540 Narrow on the lot! I haven't seen one before- I was like a kid in toys-r-us, drooling all over it. Surprisingly, the lift arms have a very short throw on them- pulling the stabilizer pin, they only have about 3 inches of travel to them, at the ends. Anybody know why?
It was also interesting that there is no adjustment in the stabilizer- either the pin holds the arm out, or not.
