I am trying to get the hydraulic pump off of a L260 with the Z1300 engine so l can take the timing cover off. After taking the inlet and outlet off and the 4 mounting bolts the pump comes out about 1/4 inch and catches on something. What do I do now?

ugggg for you....... Sounds like it is time to get the WSM :(

Some of the cheapest manuals I've seen for bota's though.

maybe someone here has one? I could use the same manual since it apparently includes the L225 too which is a manual I need as well

The joint that connects the Pump to the motor, is called an Oldham joint, it's probably worn some groves in the collar/gear that it connect too.
If you can try and turn the motor back and forth slightly and wiggle the pump in and out, might get it out of the grove and allow you to pull it out. ;)

It wouldn't hurt to also get the WSM there is always great info in them to help disassembly and reassembly.

This would be my pic of all the manuals listed.

I have that manual from ebay. It doesnt have anything I can find about getting the pump off. This whole project is due to low oil pressure. Im trying to get in to see if the cam plug fell out. Instead of taking the timing cover off, why cant I make a hole with a holesaw right in front of the cam and then put a cover over it?
thanks
