Do not go by the book value for quantity, go by the dip stick or you will very likely overfill it.

10w30 10w40 diesel rated is fine.

Any CK4 diesel rated full synthetic 5W-40 works fine…

Shell Rotella T6 is liked by many, but there is a special on Delo at Advanced Auto

If the oil filter is HH164-32430, a Ph8a size (Wix 51515) works, and is longer…

Agreed. The published figure may or may not be right. Even IF right, I consider it a 'guideline'.
