Hi,
My L2550 has developed a major coolant leak near the fuel tank. I can hear gurgling and see steam in this area. I hope there is a freeze plug there. Any idea what I need to look for? Is there a common problem that could be causing a leak? A gasket or some type of low cost repair would be wonderful.

Thanks for any and all help!

Yes there is a couple freeze plugs on the rear of the engine, you'll need to split it to get to them. ;)

Here's a picture of a freeze plug that is located on the back side of the block. This is an L2050. Have to separate, then remove the dash and fuel tank to get to a one dollar part!!

Pictures aren't real good, but you get the idea. I post some pictures of what the clutch looked like.

Water from a glow plug seems really unusual. First it would mean the glow plug is not completely threaded in. But more then that, you have water in a cylinder so it can come out at the glow plug!

I'd really suggest you re-evaluate the area the leak is coming from.
