L2501, 2017, adding BH77 backhoe

Bought a barely used BH77 from local Kubota dealer, just installed the frame kit, all went well, but ran into a few areas. First if the hydraulic hoses, I remove one from the valve unit down to the ports below, install kits unit from the control valve to the back, then the other hose goes back to the block under the floor. The flare, it screws on but I can see the seal angle is steeper, does it form to the valve block (under floor), it looks like hard steel to me and dont want to cut into seat.

Also, the rear hoses, no way to loop them. I cant even manually screw them together to form a closed loop, so hoses are in place, but not hooked up.

I take tractor to dealer next weekend to hook up my backhoe. But as of now, not ready.

Quick couplers is what I want, what size is the threaded ends?

First image, original hose with green tape is the one I should remove and that is replaced by one that goes to the back quick change coupler.

Next image, see the potential loop, one end, male threads on hose, red camp, other end is a clear plastic cap, that is the other end. I assume quick couplers that I can look when not in use.

Final image, BH77 mount all in place, no extra parts. I know I need to remove rear brace between fenders before getting backhoe.

Anyone else run into this??

The dealer installed mine, so I don’t have "1st hand knowledge" of the installation process.

I get back today, and will take some pics of my set-up and post them.

Yes, excited to get the hoe. I got it used, I mean barely used, paint barely knicked on the bucket, no worn paint in operators area. Suspect someone bought tractor, didnt use it, traded it in and new buyer didnt want the backhoe. Frame kit came with seat pedistal and seat, so I guess I have a spare.

I got it for $6500 used, this is with frame kit.

OK, thank you very much for the ISO numbers, found everything I need but cant get them in time before sat so lets hope the Kubota dealer has a set on hand, sure they do.

Old Hokie, thank you very much for that info. That JIC 37 degree flare, is that pretty much all the fittings? That is what was different, hose at block vs line from kit, the flare looked steeper on the new hose, but flange nut fit.
And the 3/8" ISO 7241B does look perfect too. Is there a preference, ie which side from pressure vs return for male or female coupler. I would imagine the larger female to be pressure. I know with the poppet end they both seal. Obvious, it will need to batch the backhoe too.

Pictures 1 and 4 above answered my question. I just wanted to get the couplers on the right spot so I am not swapping at the dealer when I go to pick it up. I would of done them opposite.

One concern left is the hose from the filter block under the the front operators RH foot area, the metal seat angle is not the same. But threaded nut/coupler fits perfectly. See what the dealer says.

The only place it seats is the very tip of hose flare end. Im certain it would seal but small surface area and no doubt would cut in or groove seat end on hydraulic block so i have hoses in place but not plumbed in so i can still move tractor. Ill try to get picture tonight.
Other fitting is more like 60 degrees.
I did get my quick couplers and look perfect.

Thanks Dan for reply. The hydraulic line has a real deep and steeper flare. Its machined steel. Not soft tubing that can flex and bend to mate up. If the set up was like yours. Id be done. Im certain need different seat at block or different line.

Quit fretting. You are looking at a straight forged JIC fitting. It will seal just like the bent tube.

Dan, called dealer, they said use it, it works fine (they have done many installs on these kits), satisfied with that, went with it, no leaks, ready for backhoe pickup Saturday.

All done, hooked up, works great, had a hydraulic leak at first, lose hose end underside, corrected on site. Locked onto tractor, then had to back onto trailer with how boom extended to clear. I did need to find my loaded sweet spot, like the 10% tongue weight, towed it home, felt it was too heavy, RAM 2500 rode like a buckboard. So good project for the winter, have probably 4 feet of more behind FEL, also had to add shackles for new tie down points.

I was impressed by the room the hoe operator has, figured it would be crowded and uncomfortable, but its not, I'm 6 feet tall. And I am still under the sun/rain roof too.

You'll find that bucket thumb indispensable for some work. I was sure glad my dealer made sure I included it when I got my setup new.

A few pointers about the thumb's adjustable positioning bar and tube assembly, garnered from experience.

Unseen above the top of the photo is the end of the tube, open to the sky. It's an excellent dirt collector. What mine ended up causing is I had the thumb in a partially closed position for an extended period of time, then when it needed to be propped back out of the way fully, it wouldn't. Couldn't get the pin back in the fully open hole because of the dirt packing in above the rod, solid. A pita to clean out.

Try and keep the adjustment tube clean, and well lubricated.
All greasing and spray lubing is manually, as there's no grease nipples anywhere in the whole assembly. The pivot pins don't move a lot and get stiff quick, too. I spray them with Fluid Film.

Looks like some really enjoyable hours in that seat are coming!
