Just got it back from the shop and no more bubbles in the radiator. Everything looks good so far.

They checked it and wasn't overheating, I mowed.with it a bit when I got home and checked the head with a cheap infrared gun.

Near the exhaust manifold was showing 220ish and near the bolt that is removed from the head where the temp sensor would go is showing 210-215.

The head passed the 'spit' test and didn't boil off on either side.

Popped the cap off and a little bit of fluid came out, maybe a cup full. Still running and cycling.

Bad temp gun maybe?

Re: L2450 again

220ish doesn't sound bad on a head reading. And depending on where the temp reading is taken, they can very drastically.

Have you checked the coolant to see what the temperature is reading

I didn't.think about it until it had already cooled down. It wasn't boiling, really didn't seem too hot to the touch

I'll check it tomorrow

Re: L2450 again

Measure the upper radiator hose and the lower hose. The difference will indicate how it's cooling.

Sounds like your fine, unless it's a high dollar infrared gun, it's probably just off a little.

Ran it again today and the 0.7hr old tach stopped working.

Temp at head was hitting 230-240

Top hose was 180ish

Bottom was 145ish

Coolant was 185-195 in the radiator, did hit 214 when I first shot the laser at it. I think it picked up something else though because it was pretty solid at staying right around 192.
