my L3010 just stared smoking really bad when first started. It clears up and no smoke ten minutes or so later. You can work with it for 15 min to 2 hrs and upon restart the smoke starts again.

What is your point? What color is the smoke?

Evope, first thing that comes to my mind is make sure you air filter is clean. Engine may not be getting enough air.

Really need more clues. Like how is the power of the engine, does it start easily, how many hours on the engine, what oil you been using, how often do you change the oil, when it smokes are there black dots on your hood....do your glow plugs work??

Yep color and type are important details.

Contaminated fuel can do that too.

1300 hrs, no black smoke ,no chunks on the hood , kubota oil and filter every 200 hrs, kind of whiteish smoke but not using any coolant and the smoke doesn't smell like coolant. it still runs good and doesn't appear to be down on power. the fuel is clean and fresh so is the filter.

You just using it for a few minutes and shutting it down?i find a few cold starts with short runs makes for a little more smoke than usual. Shutting down after idling a bit?
Possible leaking or stuck open injector?

well its more then injectors. bad head gasket anti freeze in oil . it appears that getting the fuel tank out to pull the head is quite a chore. it almost looks like the motor,tranny and fuel tank were put in as a complete unit. the PDF service manual i have found isn't a lot of help.
