K008-3 mini excavator will not start. Has good fuel supply, and good fuel pressure from fuel pump to injector pump. Removed fuel line from injector 1, got nothing coming out of injector pump. Same on other two injectors. Tried to disconnect fuel line from injector pump output but could not break the compression fitting loose. However, I WAS able to loosen the security torx screws for the first cylinder fuel line off the injector pump and pulled that assembly out of the pump.
I cranked the engine over and saw fuel swirling around inside the injector pump from where I removed this assembly. However, I expected to see fuel squirt out of the injector pump, not necessarily under a lot of pressure given that the hole where assembly was is about 1" diameter. But I at very least expected fuel to overflow there. Nope.
Am I wrong in my thought there should have been SOME pressure there? Or does the removal of that assembly prevent the buildup of pressure?
