I hate when people call me sir or Mr.
Makes me fell old!
Dag nab it I'm not old...
Just well seasoned!
You would be up a creek without the paddle in the south.

Kids are taught to address an adult as Mr Name (first name or last name) depending on how seasoned you are. Or Ms Name.

I always refer to miss, ma'am, sir if I don't know a name and need to get their attention. Better than "hey you" and nicer than waiter or waitress! What the hell is going on in this country where so many has lost respect or just never taught it.. 😕

People, speaking generally, look for an excuse to be offended these days.

Years ago one of my coworkers used a label maker to put the below label on the back of my motorcycle helmet.
34 years later the label is still there. I earned the title, I wear it proudly!

If you are referring to me, as the OP, I am not really offended. I was just making light of the situation.

That being said, I still have trouble understanding wokeism, and do not even know what tiktok is...LOL...but true...

Guess I still live in the 20th century!

I do use on line banking though...so maybe I am not as ancient as I feel I should be...

In my humble opinion, social media has bred a crop of thin skinned, whining cry babies with paper thin skins. I have zero tolerance for those weak kneed sissies.

hen,
you are easily offended or have an ego problem if you think my comment was directed at you. It was just an attempt at some humor

I think I see you are located in Western PA too. Are you an import?

Just curious because when I was growing up we did drink "Pop" and not soda, being born here. First time I heard the term soda was when I visited my cousin in Wisconsin...

Yinz and Yoooz guys are just two different ways to say the same thing I think...

"Jeat yet" is another local question that comes to mind from my childhood days...shortened form of "did you eat yet?"

I will bet there are a lot more...maybe I can find some next time I go duntown...
