Bolens 5020H. Have trouble with the hydro cylinder lifting the rear implements. The cylinder cycles completely, with no load, but hesitates under load or doesn't lift at all. Pressure shows in the required range. I re-ringed the piston and clean honed the cylinder. I did not change the hydro lines, because we "bled" them before reconnecting the cylinder, and they shot out plenty of fluid. COuld it be bad lines, or just a worn cylinder. Do anyone hear have any recommendations on new or build to spec cylinder? Any help would be great.

There is a lot of different places to get cylinders.
Would help to know the size of it. ;)

What kind of pressure are you getting to the cylinder?

When you rebuilt the cylinder, could you have reversed the inner seal? The lip should be toward pressure. If it is reversed, pressure will push past it.

Any chance dirt may have made its way into relief valve? Or its low on oil or needs to be cycled a few times to purge air.

I've worked my way back to the control valve. I'm going to pull it tomm, and being it is serviceable, take it apart, clean and ring it. Oil level is in the range, and system comes with a spin on filter I'll replace after service just to ensure it good. Replacing lines as well while I'm under it. I bought this cheap as toy from my uncle, which I ran this very machine as a kid, and man its a beast. But with anything, after being thirty one years old, its gonna have problems. Thanks for the help and the suggestions. I know where to turn.
