Hi all. I'm new here and looking for a little help. My tractor is an L3010 HST with loader. I bought it new in 2001 I think. I use it in concrete construction. My problem is hydraulic oil getting in the crankcase. Is the hyd pump on the engine on this model? I ordered a WSM, but was hoping for some help in the meantime. Thanks in advance

Never heard of this problem? On most of these tractors the hydro pump is bolted to the back of the injector pump, which is bolted to the side of the engine block. I guess if a seal went bad in the hydro pump, it could pump oil into the engine?

How do you know hydro oil is in the engine oil?

If the seal on the pump is bad it defiantly can put hydraulic oil in the engine.

and the only thing worse than this or fuel in the crankcase is coolant. Any of the three will ruin your engine.

I'm not familiar with the specs on your tractor, however my B8200 had a seal go bad in the front of the hydraulic pump. This allows the higher pressure oil to enter the crank case. The first time it happened, I just replaced the seal, that lasted about a year and it went out again, so I dropped the extra cash and just replaced the pump. Mine is a bear to get out, so I wasn't going to change the seal every year. I'd suggest just buying a new pump and do the job once.

How much have you run it with hydraulic oil in the crankcase?

Just to let you all know. I put a new seal in the pump this weekend, also new o-rings and seals inside the pumps. Everything is back to normal. I hope it lasts more than a year. Thanks to all who posted.
