Quick questions; I'm in the process of making my backhoe boom floatable and need to know what size and type the fittings are on the adapter that exits the control valve body.

2021 BX23S
Thanks

Just for dragging purposes. Such as smoothing gravel or dragging snow, at some point a rake. Basically to be used as a 3pt back blade, but way better. Initial tests indicate floating is the next step in backhoe evolution.

Not really the best idea for the backhoe. Why don’t you you put your 3 pt hitch on to do those kinds of things?

guys next door had 2 excavators that could 'float' the boom, also had roto-tilts on them. no bulldozer ,so they moved same dirt 6-7 times. sigh... dozer would have been a LOT faster and accurate.

You're 1000% playing with fire!
Well actually your playing with fire while holding sticks of dynamite.

The degree of exerted forces that are possible with this is way beyond that BH's ability.
Simply trying to get the BH to float a blade like that will not work, there are too many variables.

A three point has the ability to free float, it also has check chains / Bars to eliminate side force.

Don't tell me how stupid I am or what a bad idea it is. I didn't post to be shit on. I posted for a very specific answer. If you want to give your opinion, give it to someone who asks for it.

I didn't come here to be lectured. Don't worry about why not. If you're not going to help me, don't reply.

There ya go! That's the way to get help around here.

As for your fittings, I would guess -6 JIC or 3/8 ORB. Could also be -4 JIC or 7/16 ORB.

I know you weren't being facetious but i'm tired of the typical forum bullshit. So don't tell me how to behave.

Thanks for the info and kind of being supportive.

Being rude to members for giving you honest and first hand knowledge of the ramifications of doing something outside the limits of a implement, is well rude.

Being rude to a MODERATOR, well that's just another story!
Probably a short story. ;)

This is about the time an apology is in order!

Don't sit in your big chair and demand an apology from me. You started the fight, your going to finish it by kicking me off or conceding you should never have attacked me. In the later case, I'll apologize. Otherwise; we're done here because your way off topic.

I'm always amazed at people that post a question and only want to hear what they want to hear.
'My car ran out of gas, do not tell me to put gas in, I want to make it run without fuel...'

And score one for pack mentality. When the alpha barks the subordinates make a dog pile. That's still not an answer to the question.

Well Needid01 decided to delete the whole thread because he thought we are all idiots, his words not mine.
I didn't think that was right, I'm only an idiot part of the time!
