My neighbor offered to cut, rake and bale a patch of hay for me. We have helped each other with various task for a few years, but I had another neighbor who always put the hay up. His dad had hayed the field years go, so I always let him do it and just paid him per bale. He has a full time job, takes care of his mother's farm, has cattle, and hays for his sister also. I had to make sure the guy doing it in the past wasn't offended.

So when Dan got finished he wouldn't accept any pay, recalling what I had done for him.

His wife does most of the raking and her tractor has no canopy. So that became my project.

Got a piece from E-Z Golf Cart shop. Made brackets to attach to the ROPS. Used a rod to stabilize the front. Didn't need to drill holes in the canopy or the ROPS.

Last dumb question ....why not rod on left side? In the way of getting on board?

Thanks for the compliments. Nope, that's Dan coming in on a hot day. The rod is on the right side so it is totally out of the way.

It really fits that tractor nice. I used only metal I had laying around, except I bought a piece of all-thread to make the clamps because I couldn't find clamps with threads going down far enough.

Russell, not sure if that was a statement or a question, but yes it is to stabilize the front. I don't think it really needs it, but since the top already had a hole there and I didn't want to have a problem after I installed it.....it was quite easy to add. And if they didn't like it, could be removed in a minute.

Jim, if that comes off the tractor at any speed while trailering the driver has more troubles than a canopy!

The plastic (or whatever the material is) the canopy is molded from would have to explode at the mounting holes for it to come lose. It has two each 1/2" bolts going through the unistrut channel with fender washer, lock washer, and nut.

It's a hard molded piece and the rod I put to the front has a fender washer and a lock washer on a 1/2" bolt that is welded to the rod.

Very nice! I have a old golf cart canopy I might try that or something similar
