If there is no clue on the stick where the stopper was, and you get no response, you may need to do an oil change on level ground and measure it yourself.

Engine or Transmission?
And if it's done that you would be better off just getting a new dipstick! ;)

Might send a PM to "007Kubotaguy" on this forum. He has many part for older L series tractors. Perhaps he has one he can mail to you.

If you decide to drain and refill and measure, a metal piece with a slot could easily be tacked to the stem with one zap of a wire welder! Or JB Weld it on.

rbargeron gave you the measurement did you miss it?
The original rubber plug is bonded to the stick with a super fancy method, super glue, you can use that to bond it again at the proper height. ;)

Sounds like time for an oil change :)

I would end up over-engineering this issue if I had to fix it......probably include some threaded rod and a dip stick from my collection, and my electric glue gun.
[the collection is for making "dip stick" awards for some of the guys I work with]

Steve,
There is no P/N 17381-36411.. where did you get that Number?

The only listed P/N for a L4150 is 17381-36410, through all sub models too, and it's a strait dipstick, it sounds like either someone has put the wrong dipstick in it or you have a different model than what you state.

I've only seen the bent dipstick on Industrial engines, has you engine been replaced at some point?

And you mentioned hole in side cover? What are you calling a side cover because Kubota only puts the dipsticks in the block on the side or directly into the oil pan, and that's not done on the tractors.
