I wanted to use my Titan 3 pt forks to lift and move some light brush to burn piles so I had a post fabbed and welded to pin the top of the hitch to the bucket. I think It'll come in handy for light work.

Those welds look to be on the cold side. Use it lightly, until they are proven to hold.

+1, especially the horizontal welds, verticals, not so much. Looks like a SMAW weld with insufficient amperage..

Sure way to tell is see the underside of the weld to see if the metal was heated through.

Heck, I can pick that stuff up manually and toss it in a wheelbarrow. I guess the bird poop welds aren't gonna be stressed with some old straw.
Aww... there’s no reason to belittle a man’s accomplishments..? A guy does what a guy needs to do and it will probably get ‘er done!

Good injun-ooitey, IMO! :p

What did you do today Flip wake up on the grumpy side of the bed? I will bet you had to learn how to weld long ago and the first ones were not pretty. Maybe he does not have any one to teach him.

Like mama says, "If you ain't got nothing good to say, don't say anything."

Welds look like bird poop. Just being honest. Candidly, I don't care, it's not my rodeo.

Whatever it is. Moldy hay or straw or whatever. Looks light though.
Maybe he has a bad back or medical condition that prevents him from doing it manually. Or, maybe he likes doing projects. Or, maybe he just likes to be on his tractor or use it to make life a little easier. Man....

Weld critiquing aside, that's a pretty nifty idea.

Flip.
Just one time try to say something nice. You might be surprised how you feel or maybe not.

Just calling a spade a spade...oops that is racial today, sorry. Just telling it like it is, nothing more. I'd never post a picture on a public forum like that. Those are cold welds, plain and simple.

Of course being part African American (I prefer Negro), I should have a pass on that.

Probably my skin tone George. As the summer progresses, I get darker and darker and even in the winter, I'm pretty dark, well, a nice shade of brown. My Grandad was American Negro, my Grandma was pure blooded Cherokee. My dad was Pennsylvania Dutch and his grandparents were plantation owners so I have a plantation owners last name, interestingly.

None of it bothers me in reality but I have gotten to experience racial bias first hand (when growing up) and I'm 100% against the crap that is transpiring today with BLM and all that destruction stuff.

Why I'm critical of sub standard stuff like crappy welds that someone posts for all to see.

I'll leave it at that. Suffice to say I've been (and lived) on both sides of the fence.
