so here we are 3 weeks after the mass shooting at Uvalde, Tx.

3 weeks. The media is still blowing this up. If I were wanting to do something bad, I'd want the media to be publicizing it for weeks/months too. It would make me famous even after I'm gone.

Not really blaming anyone, but just stating the fact. A coworker brought it up the other day and the more I think about it the more I think he might be onto something.

Plus, the media is driven by agenda, even if they deny it. Good friend of mine was a weather anchor for the local station. She quit because of exactly that. Biased reporting and leaving out information that should not have been. She's now working for an investment firm, and doing great with it.

Well I thought that until the DEA showed up at my house.

The short version, it was our anniversary, I took the day off, and wife still had to go to work. She headed outside and she came running back into the house saying some lumber jack looking guys blocked her in the driveway with a pickup truck and they said they were the police. (We only have one officer that drives a truck in our town and we know him and have shot with him on several occasions.)

Grabbed the pistol, stuck it in my back of pants and went out to investigate. Sure enough, they had the house surrounded with unmarked vehicles and men in just regular clothes. They were from the DEA, which they had to provide me with ID and badges since they were wearing none.

My wife had ordered 500 empty pill containers and the equipment to make her own moringa pills, along with the moringa.

They had the order form from Amazon showing what we had ordered. They proceeded to explain to me how it was used to make illegal drugs. I proceeded to explain to them it was not. We hit an impasse and I motioned to the wife to open the door and get me her moringa pill making stuff (at this point she was really confused because she had been watching, but couldn't hear what was going on since I wouldn't let them inside the fence). She brought it all out and they could see that it was covered in green and I told them they could taste it if they wanted. They declined and left.

They never searched or asked me if I was armed nor did they realize the wife had grabbed the AR and was inside the door watching out to make sure I was okay.

Sad part is if they would of just knocked on the front door, my wife would of talked their ear off and probably invited them in for coffee, and showed them how to make moringa pills.

Yet instead their approach just about got us all in trouble.
Weird story that most people wouldn’t experience. 500 empty pill bottles is a little suspicious.

Thursday, IL Supreme Court is expected to release a major ruling on the FOID Act. For those not from IL, residents must have a FOID card to purchase firearms and ammunition. In addition, you must have the card on you whenever you have either with you, even on your own property. You apply every 10 years and the IL State Police does a daily computerized scan of the list of FOID holders and any new criminal records.

The State made the argument that this keeps the guns out of the hands of criminals. The defense team pointed out that all it does is create an unnecessary and unconsutitional burden on law abiding citizens. The defense team then went on to present stats from Chicago to make their point that criminals will be criminals and this law only impacts law abiding citizens. (Yes this is an oversimplification of the entire hearing.)

The case was heard by Illinois Supreme Court concerning the Act and a lady charged with violating the Act. The lower court ruled the law unconsutitional.

So, it will be interesting to see what the Court decides. Those of you who are not familiar with IL, this was the last State to get carry and conceal, which was only allowed because the State Supreme Court ruled that it was illegal not to allow it.

I don't know the DEA, but the IRS didn't need no warrant they just showed up and raided the place. Held 12 of us execution style lined up along the front entrance, facing away from the "agents". No warrants, no attorneys, no way to call any of them, ,didn't even know who they were for a couple hour. The YouTube documentary that Jan Morgan did was accurate in almost every detail.
I remember when that happened. They hit a few other small businesses in town as well. Was back when Obummer was using the IRS as his personal hit squad to go after that one political party that was gaining traction around here.

I've never seen so many unmarked cars of the same make and model in one location before.

And sure didn't realize that the IRS had so many enforcers.

Neither you or I are important enough for the government to waste time or care about. As a government employee, it’s always comical to me when I hear about conspiracies. No two agencies of the government will work together and everyone has different ideas on how to do things. And only the most important threats to security is of concern.
The government has time for whatever the government wants to have time for.
Not everyone in the government is aware of everything the government does.

This is a huge problem. I really believe that if the reporting did not include the name of the idiot would help

They have staff for that but not to process amended returns timely. Scum.

yes, and we got a LOT more into it after the fact. I won't go into too much detail but there is STILL ongoing legalities involving this. For those that don't know, the IRS doesn't have to go by any laws. They have their own. They do "what they want"--which is a direct quote by one of the agents. This should bother every single American. In my (our) case all it took was someone at the bank to say "I don't like them/him" and send the tip to the IRS, then the IRS fleeces you for years. Then one day, you open up for business as usual, you go in, sit down and look at your bank account. Everything looks normal, except you might be mysteriously missing hundreds of thousands of dollars. The IRS can (and did, in our case) garnish it, and nobody knew, bank wouldn't say who/why. A few minutes later the parking lot and building are swarmed, you're held up by people with automatic weapons, questioned, and you have no idea who these people are, what they want, nothing--until a few hours in when their questioning starts to make some sense about the same time the shock wears off a little.

We had a wonderful secretary at the time who was in on it. She was hysterically crying sobbing, shaking, passed out twice. First time she passed out nobody knew, and I mentioned that we outta call an ambulance, and the agents said "NO!" She had to go to the potty, as most of us did because of the length of the questioning. They "escort" you to the bathroom, and you do your duties with the door open and the agent watching you. That or go in your pants. I had to do it too. Female agent possessing a nasty semi-auto weapon that "we" (civilians) aren't supposed to have. The secretary never came back to work. I don't know what happened to her. She's around locally but isn't responsive to any of my calls/messages.

I didn't see them at your work. But did see them at the RV dealer in town.

The short version is that SCOTUS ruled that the 2nd Amendment is a right and has to be treated as such and the the New York law created under burden on the right.

The biggest 2nd Amendment case in years, guessing since the Heller decision.
