Hello folks! I'm proud to say that I purchased my first tractor today. A used Kubota B7500 with 340 hours. No attachments, the guy simply used it to spread manure in his fields. Very light use. Got a great deal on it. I look forward to learning a great deal from this website, thanks again.

Welcome fellow Virginian .....from one a little bit south!

ENjoy your new machine - you'll find lots of help here if you need it!

Shoot - I bet it can move faster than the traffic up there, BTDT many times........I would rather have a lobotomy with a chainsaw than drive up there all the time!:D:p:)

Where are you from? I grew in Fairfax County (Reston) VA in the 70s and 80s.
I really miss that place. Went back a few years ago and could recognize any of my old stomping grounds. Everything changed, all built up now. It's crowed up there now in north-VA.

My wife is from Fairfax, ever time we head up there, it is either later at night or very early - traffic is god-awful, and despite having everything at your finger tips, I would much rather cuss the only two stoplights I drive through to get to work 2.3 miles from my house!!!!:D:)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I actually just returned from my local Kubota dealership who I think tried putting the fear of god in me about this tractor. With only 16hp at the PTO, I know it is not the largest. I really only need to run a finish mower, rear blade for snow and a front loader for feed and dirt. He's got me a little worried, hopefully this all pans out.

For the gentleman who was familiar with Reston, VA.. That is exactly where I work, I then drive back home to Purcellville where I have about 4.5 acres.

Let me know what you guys think. I bought this tractor for 3500.00, it's a B7500 HST 4x4 diesel with 320-340 hours. I do have to run hydraulic lines for the front end loader (1200.00 ish dollars).. The dealer is telling me I might have to bite the bullet and buy a Woods loader since not many people make ones to fit this tractor?? Sounds fishy to me. I'll post a picture in the next few minutes..

You mention, " I do have to run hydraulic lines for the front end loader (1200.00 ish dollars).. The dealer is telling me I might have to bite the bullet and buy a Woods loader since not many people make ones to fit this tractor?"

Looks like you, at this point, do not have a loader so the $1200 you mention would be included in the Woods (or whatever brand) loader you purchase.

However, if you buy a new loader you will probably pay more for it then you just paid for your tractor.

You bought the tractor at a bargain!

If you were at the dealer looking/asking about a loader he was only trying to get you spooked so you'd buy a tractor with a loader already mounted from him. He was playing you like a fiddle, but you got out of there in time!

The tractor you bought will do what you need. A diesel tractor can not be compared to what ever you owned previously that was same HP gas. You have 21 engine HP. You back up to a 21 HP gas lawn mower and hook the rear ends to each other....you can drag the gas around the section and never know it's there. Quit worrying.

PTO HP is 16, engine is 21. click here for more info. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/003/7/2/3724-kubota-b7500.html

I guess what I meant by run the hydraulic lines was the actual valve and manifold that connects to the fittings that will already be installed on the loader when I order it. I should have made that more clear. This guy literally only pulled it around a field spreading manure, that is it.

Thanks for all the help.

Ck with BushHog co. they make loaders for Kubotas. I bought one for a bx 2230 and it came with everything I needed to install. It wasn't $1200, more like $2500. Made in USA

Thanks ipz. I will check into it. I am going to call a different kubota dealer, maybe one across the state line in Maryland.
