G 1700 wont stay running

Hello im new to this
my G 1700 was running and just stopped and now it wont stay running what should i look for to get it back running
i hope it is an easy fix

for shitz and grins.. Check that your fuel valve is open fully. Also pull fuel cap off and see if you have fuel .... you never know. Then start her WITH CAP OFF to see if that makes a difference. Report back what you find out.


Beside that; replace fuel filters. Bleed the fuel system afterwards. Search in here will get you info on how to bleed her. Look at rubber fuel lines too. Might be time to replace them. They come apart from inside out. Pieces inside can act like a flapper valve and shut off flow of fuel. Orr bad hose is allowing more air into the system than the fuel system can bleed away. For some reason diesel engines can't run on air..... not sure why

How old is your fuel? Maybe it's not treated for a Canadian winter and has jelled.

gelled fuel
clogged fuel filter(s)
plugged fuel tank
plugged fuel line
fuel line coming apart internally
fuel valve not working properly or plugged
shutoff solenoid not working.
wiring issue.
safety switch issue(s)
key switch issues
brake switch issues
pto switch issues
seat switch issues
bad ground
OPC controller defective
HST problem-causing seizure
engine problem
electric fuel pump problem
fuel pump wiring problem


I could probably name off 100 more possibilities real quick....
