I bit the bullet and went on Northern Tool and bought a HMC fuel caddie. I got tired of spilling diesel all over me, the tractor, and the ground. Now I just put the hols in the fill spout and turn the crank. No more so called "California safety spouts" or 5 gal cans to deal with.

Lots of good fuel jugs and ideas here.
On the idea of repurposing: I use a couple of Ex 2.5 gal DEF containers for diesel and kerosene. Originally thought these as use a couple of times and throw away. Have two in use for over two years, still in the box. Easy to handle with the kerosene stoves and my B4200 only holds 2 gallons so makes a good container to mix Power Service and trans oil. Just clean them with hot water first!
