I have a 1998 b7300 series tractor with an SMC 64Q fel, Gearmore 2g box scraper with rippers and a top and tilt control. I have only had this tractor for 3-4 months. I have noticed that if I have a full bucket of med density dirt, not compacted clay but not really loose fill. The bucket will not raise to it's highest position. It gets to about 75%. I parked it on some cardboard and ran all of the hydraulics for about 10 minutes and then checked to see if I had any leaks, there were none. I replaced the spin on filter and it had a factory service about a year before I purchased it. Looking for the next thing to check. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

A leaking cylinder on an interior seal will cause a week lift or roll.

If you lift the bucket up weighted does it drift back down?

If not you could have a relief or pump issue not building enough pressure, you'll need to test pressures to know if that is the problem.

With a loaded bucket, the bucket does not drift back down. As far as why I needed to lift that high, I was having to dump some fill on the other side of a tall fence to stop some erosion.

I understand wanting more lift, I do it all the time. It simply sounds like you have reached the limits of your machine. My B7100 wouldn't lift a full bucket of dirt either, not to full height anyway.

According to the spec sheet on this loader, lift capacity at full height is 630 lbs. This is a quarter yard bucket which should put the weight around 500 lbs. So maybe things are getting a little worn and I should shoot for 3/4 when I am filling the bucket up.

Sometimes lift capacity is measured at the bucket mounting pins. 630 at the pins will be 500 at some particular distance farther out.
