Machine starts kind of odd, like it's skipping a beat, so to speak. But it starts fine and runs fine.
It just seems like it is making more of a 'dieseling' noise than normal.
Power is normal. Not running hot.
It started doing this one day when it stalled out under load. Clutch machine.
Then it started the odd starting and would not start.
Let it sit for about 15 minutes and it started up, but made the 'skipping' when starting.
I ran Sea Foam in the crankcase and the fuel tank. Changed the oil the next day. This seemed to help some, but it seems the excessive 'dieseling' is still barely there.

Do you have an error code shown on your hour meter?

I’m surprised that throwing snake oil in the crankcase didn’t cure an unrelated issue.

Maybe sea foam in the rear tires would do it.

Is it still covered by warranty? If so get it into a dealer to have them evaluate.

Why don't you make a video of it doing it, post it on Youtube, then give us a link to see / hear it.

When you say “dieseling”, do you actually mean to say that it is rapping sounds like you bent something internally in the engine when you stalled it?

You should have your Kubota dealer connect KOBD Ace to the tractor, as it probably has a DTC that is not being displayed.
It possibly needs the ECU software to be updated.

Ok, so I was doing my normal maintenance checks, fluids, filters, etc. Took the radiator cap off and it ws not showing at the top. Started to add some coolant and I noticed a leak. It was coming from the small hose that goes from the block to the oil filter base. Replaced the hose and filled the coolant. Took about 1.5 gallons.
The temp gauge, before this, has never shown hot nor has it thrown a overheat code. As a matter of fact, the gauge was showing on the cooler side than normal.
When it stalled and went to start it, it now makes sense why it was starting weird. Kinda like the battery was weak.
Now with the fluid refilled, the gauge reads normal.
Used it for about an hour today. Everything seems to be normal again. Starter seems weird, but engine is running smoother.
I did unhook the battery for about 30 minutes to reset any possible codes that were not showing. I'll keep an eye on it.

1.5 gallons: Wow! That’s near all of it!

Hopefully no damage done. Not unusual for coolant temp sensors to not read accurately and therefore not show hot when they’re dry (no longer in the coolant due to extreme coolant loss).

Yes. It sounds like rapping, but just a bit more than normal
Between that sound and the amount of coolant you had to add, it is beginning to sound like you have some serious engine damage somewhere inside.

Perhaps the overheated engine was causing the fuel to ignite more abruptly making the sound, much like a gasoline engine knocking. Hopefully the engine suffered no damage.

Well that's not good. If you can't know that your engine is overheating, because of a sensor not reading correctly.
Everything SEEMS to be working ok now. It does seem to have bit of a very minor rough idle, at times, but not extreme.
The odd starting is still there, when cold or hot. Not like it was before, dragging and skipping. It's more like a brief 'skip', if you will before it starts. It is VERY brief. I don't even think a sound recording or a video, you would be able to tell it. I notice it because I am just use to how it normally starts. I think it was worse because the engine was VERY hot and hard to turn over. Just a thought.
