While changing the transmission fluid the 23 mm bolt on the left side was pulled out. This apparently let the pedal for the diff lock move left. Now the bolt will not go all the way in and the pedal is locked. How can I get this back?

We are assuming it is on your L225?

Have you had any luck yet?
I can't see how removing the bolt could cause a issue.
But it's not a huge job to remove the top cover/hydraulics to find the trouble.

No I haven’t, it’s working without it but I have no diff lock. I can’t find anything on it in a manual or parts breakdown.
thanks for asking

That plug may support the shaft. Maybe have someone jiggle the shaft while you screw the plug in? If that doesn't work, it's right there when you remove the top cover.

The plug does push against the shaft. I have jiggled wiggled and pulled it out as I’m tighteng the plug but it’s a hard stop before it get in all the way.

Sorry this is the only pic I have with the shaft, not showing the other end.
There is not much involved with it.
Only thing I could suggest is remove the plug & try to centre the shaft with a screwdriver.
