Bought an L225 and belly mower that runs real nice. thought was to put its D1101 into the L235DT I have along with belly mower and sell off parts ending up a tad better dollar wise.

Now I see though:
. the Hydraulic pump is different, Can a swap the D1102 unit onto the IP on the 1101?
. Water pump is different. Will/should I swap pumps and cover (aka does one push coolant better if swapable?)
. Oil pan different since mine is DT but that was a known going in and previously had been told that was swapable.
. Did I just loose ability to add a FEL? Looked like L225's block (D1101) didn't have the cast in location to bolt up FEL. It mounts onto the L235 block (D1102) right; or does the L235 FEL actually bolt onto part of the tranny and Im remembering wrong? (neither tractor handy to run out to look at)

Woods finish belly mower.

. Assume I need longer belt from rear PTO to Woods mower since the wheel base is different?

If I read it write the spech page labels RIM as TIRE and Tread as Rubber/Tire. Correct?

even with that confusion. the L225 is Turf all the way around. Thought that rears on 25 would work on 35 while might needing another set of turf front rims for the 35. Now Im not sure.

Advice?

Don't know how lucky you will be in swapping parts while they are both the same size 1.1L or 1100 they are a different series of motor 1101and 1102
I guess if they bolt up they should work.
Edit: Your chances of a swap are not looking good after some research, The block is not even close to the same, the oil pan is a no, the gear case and the water pump are both a no, and it's a hit or miss on the hydraulic pump.

The FEL does not bolt to the motor, the front frame does, so if there is no bolt holes in the block then it's going to be hard to bolt it into your frame on your L235, and the FEL in both cases bolts to the flywheel housing, the L235 has a different mounting setup then the L225.

If the mower is the old style Rear PTO driven style it might not work on your DT as the drive might get in the way.

They both take the same size Ag front and rear and the same size turf front and rear.

So yes Fubar, keep the L225 together and run it or resell it!

Think I'll sell the newish JDeere mower and keep the bigger path cutting Kubota L225 so I can add back blade for snow moving some and box blade to start road maintainance. Then over the next year keep eyes open for a rebuildable D1302 engine to put in L235 and have implements ready when she is done
