new to forum. Had my b3200 for several years. I need to replace my deck wheels on 72' deck. Is it okay to heat the metal tube on wheel with blow torch to get my bushings inserted? Thanks for any advice for a better way.

No.

I replaced the wheels on my 60" deck a few years ago and found the new ones to be very tight.

Paitence and perservence prevailed but it took awhile before the wheels turned freely.

Not sure what you are asking -The tube - it does come out of the wheel?

- but freezing the bushing will give you another thousand too - or the combination of the two will allow to go together better. What is your tolerance now? OD of bushing vs the ID of the tub/ wheel. IF real close I would press them in.

I have seen flywheel sprockets placed in the oven at 400 degrees and the wheel which is goes on in the freezer for a good while - slide together easy - once cooled, locked in place.

We can buy dry ice from the grocery store. It is pretty cheap and makes things cold in a hurry. Keep beer handy so you do not waste the dry ice.
