Electrical tape over a paper towel works best. And you can keep working. Just don't wrap the tape too tight. Works on hands, fingers, arms, knees, etc etc.
Head wounds aren't an issue, just have to wipe the blood off of your forhead before it drips and hits your glasses.
Band aids are just going to fall off when you go in and wash up for supper, anyway. There was *one* type of band aid that I found would stick on well enough to be worth anything. I had all daughters, I can remember one of them losing track of a game she was playing in due to a pretty butterfly .
