Dunno about code, but it's a good way to extend the life of your septic system.
For sure! We do all sorts of tricks to try to prevent fats making its way into our septic system and are fortunate there is just the 2 of us. If we had kids I would install a trap as opposed to paying for pumping. Anyone with previous commercial kitchen experience knows all about grease traps!

Grease is an issue with septic piping, but proper bacteria in a septic tank, should go a long way toward avoiding a septic tank grease issue.
That said: The drain field certainly does not like grease
Laundry detergents and bleach are a real septic tank issue.
Separate gray water leaching is an excellent idea for extending septic system life.

Commercial kitchens are usually connected to municipal sewage systems.

That's actually pretty ingenious. When you are carrying, dropping your pants to use the throne is sometimes a bit of a conundrum, because you can't just have your sidearm flopping around pointing any which direction.

Having a place to temporarily secure it would be great.
