Lol. I had a drive in theatre nearby my house as a kid. We used to go in thru the day and turn all the speakers up loud. Then at night sneak in as close as we could get, watch the movie, and we could usually hear it!

Buddy had a coworker that had a house with a perfect view of the local drive in screen from his screened in back porch.

This was after you had the option of the speaker, or could listen over your fm radio in the car.

We spent many a Saturday night drinking beer, grilling out, and watching the big screen from that porch. Sound coming over the stereo he kept out there. Most of his neighbors that had similar views would send the kids out back to watch the movie

On a recent Sunday morning, I discovered water was coming out of my ceiling. I knew that I had a potentially serious problem, so I did not waste time.
Moving swiftly but without panic, I went into the living room and read the sports section of the newspaper; thus giving the problem a chance to go away.
