I cannot view the video at work but the title made me think of yesterday.

We have field across from our house and the farmer brings a "BIG" dual whell JD tractor over to plant each year. My daughter always ask where is the big tractor Dada, is it coming back, where did it go, etc.

Yesterday he was there planting cotton so we drove over to watch. The farmer remembered us from last summer when Ella was 18 months so he stopped and got out to speak with us. Ella now 2 years and 6 months said hey. I ask her what kind of tractors she liked and she told the farmer not green ones. he laughed and said what color then, Ella said orange ones like Katie Kubota.

I'll check out the video tonight.

So like I said in previous post could not view video at work. Just viewed I was expecting some little boy asking where JD tractors come from and the dad explaining.

Not what I saw so my post was not relevant I guess.

Still thought it was funny that a 2 year old told a JD owner we like orange not green tractors.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a manure pit. It's the whatever that needs worrying about rather than the mud, water and tadpoles. Thinking he was backing in with a pump/agitator and either had the clutch get away from him, or the side crumbled a little.

I was about to post the same thing.

Fitting place for a Deere though. Builds character. And later, the uric acid in the manure will cause a chemical reaction to turn it orange.

We had beef cattle on the farm that I grew up on, but my uncle had a dairy farm with a pit. Had a pit on the hog farm where I worked in college too. Wouldn't count on the chemical reaction. We splattered our 4030 with it fairly often. It's still in service and not a spec of orange on it yet.

A buddy's family owns and operates a dairy farm. They operate 90 percent waste free. They have a methane digester for all the liquids. Compost and bag the solids for resale. They produce enough electricity to power the farm, all the homes attached too it plus another 10 houses.

Cow manure is sold in the east under the moo doo name. Used to go down there every spring with the truck and buy it by the truck load for the garden
